The entire congregation of CSPC is involved in a scandalous love relationship!! 

It involves every man, woman and child and involves a quality of love that is so captivating, it's hard to think of anything else!   The scandolous nature of this relationship is that all of us are loved and falling in love with the same Lover.... and none of us ever thought we'd be involved in something this satisfying! 

Who is this Wooer of Hearts & Souls?  It is none other than the Creator of the Universe...., with aliases like YHWH, Sweet Rose of Sharon, and Lord God Almighty!
Now you'd think Someone as GREAT as this would be pretty darn busy with little time or interest for a seemingly insignificant group like ours!  But apparently He either has more time on His hands than it seems, or an incredible ability to multi-task that makes even the most efficient worker among us look like a rookie!

The book that's been passed down to us to help us understand all this says "a thousand years of our history is like a day of work to Him" ...., and perhaps even more insightful, "His ways are not our ways, neither are His thoughts our thoughts". 

That second quote helps me understand why the God who rules and reigns in heaven would be consumed with desire to be in a relationship with you and me!  I mean really, aren't' there more important things to take care of as Guardian of the Universe?  Apparently not!  In that same book, God is continually painted as the One who is chasing down His people.., to let them know that they are loved, that He is jealous for their love, and that humanity's ultimate purpose is to receive and reciprocate the unconditional love God has for us! 

That's the bottomline, foundational purpose of the Universe? A love relationship between the Creator and Created?  Sounds crazy I know..., but if it's true, it has profound and exciting implications for how we perceive life itself!
